Domestique is the sound collage, audio-visual, performance art project of Ricky Katowicz that incorporates household items such as amplified industrial fans, balloons, sewing machines and pouring liquids aka “song juice” into a mic’d metal bin. Big Dicks is the first song on Domestique’s incredible new record CHILD ISH, which is available now on BandCamp. The songs on the record highlight childhood traumas. They are sticky, but they can be washed away. The collected songs are truly CHILD ISH.

Melissa St. Pierre - Gathering An Aquifer
Melissa St. Pierre, native name Potima Neumann, in _Gathering_an_Aquifer_ is exploring the crossings reminiscent through the flowing with great breath through the waters of the Mohawk+Hoosac Rivers of her current home, North Adams, MA, the aboriginal home of the Mohican, where one can still hear the sounds of the Creator in the air when the infernal machine beast flaring all around us quiets itself. "I have been thinking about out-of-tune antique pianos as having a watery sound and how divorcing their sound palette from electronic enhancement can lay the groundwork for a more deeply interwoven mind+body+land+sky connected linguistic." When she first learned to play piano on the Tobique First Nation reservation in Perth-Andover, NB during the early 1980's, in a place where the fight to keep and enjoy the natural wonder and usefulness of the surrounding waterways has been raging since anyone living today can remember, St.Pierre-Neumann knew very implicitly that her voice in music could shape the surrounding atmosphere and communication. The bid for a hydro-electric Mactaquaq Dam was rejected by the Tobique people as far back as 1844, though eventually built in the 1940s, when her mother, who taught her to play piano on her lap, first came into the world. A blockade protest began in the summer of 2009, and the largest land claim in Atlantic Canada was won through embittered quarreling with the DOJ in Ottawa. Returning to the surrounding waters has been crucial to Melissa Potima's psychic survival during the dual pandemics, as has returning to her piano in her outdoor home studio.
